First, the rankings, along with a fantasy football-inspired style cheat sheet (super short blurb to describe each program digitally)
- Duke - 3 sites + hoops Twitter feed. If they can make these work together, watch out!
- Virginia - A digital presence from Coach Bennett away from taking on Duke
- Clemson - The surprise program, the best at sharing what they stand for
- North Carolina - Coach Roy on Twitter, nice original video content
- Maryland - Great imagery, great foundation, so-so updating
- Florida State - Many ways to stay connected to program, though football is clearly #1
- Wake Forest - Some good pieces (blog and desktop app), but need to dive into basketball.
- NC State - Blog from the AD + men's and women's sports... but not basketball
- Virginia Tech - Coach Greenberg among most active on Twitter
- Georgia Tech - Use podcasts and YouTube well, but needs better organization
- Miami - Love the "For Recruits" button, just wish a hoops recruit would find something
- Boston College - Limited ways to connect with the program
- Virginia Social Media call out - I love how they let you know where you can follow Virginia athletics, with this icon:
2. Clemson TV - it's pretty obvious what they stand for, and that D is a big part of it!
3. Duke's Twitter feed - pulling directly into the Duke basketball feature:
Finally, here's my ACC All-Twitter Team (those you should consider following, not those with the highest number of followers):
Coach Oliver Purnell, Clemson
Assistant Coach Chris Collins, Duke
Coach Gary Williams, Maryland
Coach Seth Greenberg, Virginia Tech
Coach Leonard Hamilton, Miami
Honorable Mention:
North Carolina Men's Basketball
NC State Men's Basketball
Dan McDermott, Boston College Video
Duke Blue Planet
Up next?
The PAC 10.
Tune in tomorrow!
Andy
